Polo Whites

I was recently invited to my first Polo Match in Malibu and was beyond STOKED to attend. It’s probably the preppiest sport I can think of, so of course I sent in my RSVP as quickly as humanly possible to reserve my spot, being a lover of all things fancy and highfalutin. And because of Polo’s rich history of prestige and pretense, I knew I had to really out-prep myself for the occasion. Cue my polo whites:

I donned a basic white button down with a pair of white shorts as the base of the outfit, then added a few beige accents to tie everything together and make it pop. A gold bow tie from Bows-N-Ties, a hand stitched off-white belt, and casual beige vans so as not to appear like I was trying too hard. Simple, classy, and classic – you can’t go wrong. Of course it didn’t hurt that I had some gorgeous arm candy, my resplendent date, Jewel.

The Match benefited the charity, Safety Harbor Kids; a Malibu-based non-profit that helps orphans, foster children, and homeless kids enrich their lives in the areas of education, career, the arts, and personal growth. I was thrilled to support the organization, and even bumped into the one and only Caitlyn Jenner, who also is a huge supporter.

Can’t wait for my next Polo Match – who knows, maybe I’ll grab a mallet and give the sport a try myself!
