This blog is supposed to be a collection of my thoughts and feelings; an online journal, if you will. I have to say, sometimes I feel like I’m whining, complaining, or having the mood swings of a 86 year old bipolar woman. But at the same time, I want to have a record of how I was feeling when I show my kids this site in 30 years. Ideally, I would like to be making money off of this blogging thing by now, but hey, I have to get stuff off my chest…
That said, today was a rough day, to say the least.
My friend Braden, who I met in Australia, showed me a quote once that has become one of my all time favorites. Whenever I’m sad, tense, or just feeling like my day has been flushed down the toilet, I refer to said quote:
“And me, I still believe in paradise. But now at least I know it’s not some place you can look for, because it’s not where you go. It’s how you feel for a moment in your life when you are a part of something, and if you find that moment…
it lasts forever.”
According to this quote, I have felt that feeling of paradise, but presently it is fleeting. Hence I have collected an assortment of photos when I was a part of something once, so I can look back on them fondly and remember better days. (Also, I want to make this blog more picture friendly than my last).
This is starting to get depressing so I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
